left face
Turn ninety degrees
Left face is a military command directing personnel to turn 90 degrees to the left while standing in formation.
The turn pivots on the right heel and left toe, executed sharply and in unison.
By extension, it can serve as an informal instruction to turn left: Left face, then walk to the end of the hall.
