A ledge grab is a move in video games and climbing where a character catches the edge of a platform or surface with their hands, typically to prevent falling or to pull themselves up.
In platformers and fighting games, the ledge grab is often a crucial recovery technique: She saved herself with a ledge grab just before falling off the stage.
The term extends to real-world parkour and bouldering, where grabbing ledges is fundamental technique.
