landfolk
People on land
Landfolk are people who live on land, as opposed to those who make their living at sea.
The term appears in maritime contexts and folklore, often from the perspective of sailors or mythical sea creatures viewing terrestrial humans as a distinct group: The mermaids watched the landfolk from beyond the breakers.
Rarely used outside nautical or fantasy settings.
