knifeman
Armed with blade
A knifeman is a person armed with a knife, especially one who attacks or threatens others.
The word appears almost exclusively in British news reports of violent incidents: Police shot the knifeman after he lunged at officers.
American English typically uses "knife-wielding attacker" or similar phrases instead.
