jaunter

One who ambles

A jaunter is someone who jaunts—takes short trips for pleasure.

The word appears occasionally in travel writing and tourism contexts: The weekend jaunters crowded the coastal towns.

In science fiction, particularly Alfred Bester's *The Stars My Destination*, a jaunter is someone who teleports by mental power alone.
