jackknifed
Truck trailer swung
Jackknifed describes something that has folded sharply at a pivot point, like a jackknife blade closing into its handle.
Most often used for truck accidents where the cab and trailer swing toward each other at an acute angle: The semi jackknifed on the icy highway, blocking all lanes.
A diver who has jackknifed bends sharply at the waist before entering the water.
