Invisible walls are barriers in video games that prevent players from moving beyond the playable area, even when nothing visibly blocks the path.
The player's character simply stops or slides along an unseen boundary: I tried to climb that hill but hit an invisible wall.
The term extends to any hidden limitation that blocks progress without obvious reason.
