intersperse
Scatter among others
To intersperse is to scatter or distribute things among other things at intervals.
You might intersperse jokes throughout a serious speech, or find wildflowers interspersed among the grasses.
The word suggests deliberate placement rather than random mixing: She interspersed personal anecdotes between the data slides.
