interwork
Systems communicate together
To interwork is for systems, components, or organizations to work together or function in coordination.
The term appears mainly in technical contexts—telecommunications equipment that interworks can exchange signals across different protocols: The new software interworks seamlessly with legacy systems.
Less commonly, it describes people or groups collaborating: The two departments interwork on cross-functional projects.
