inswing
Delivery curving inward
Inswing describes a cricket delivery that curves through the air toward the batsman, moving from the off side to the leg side for a right-handed batter.
The bowler achieves this movement by angling the seam and using wrist position to make the ball swing in during flight.
A bowler skilled at this technique is called an inswing bowler.
The term also applies in soccer to a corner kick or cross that curves toward the goal rather than away from it.
