installation artist
Immersive environment creator
An installation artist creates immersive, three-dimensional works designed for specific spaces, often transforming entire rooms or environments into unified artistic experiences.
Unlike traditional painters or sculptors, installation artists work with the space itself as their medium, incorporating diverse materials like light, sound, video, found objects, or even living elements.
The viewer typically enters and moves through the work rather than simply observing it from outside.
The installation artist converted the warehouse into a forest of suspended mirrors.
