inspiration board
Creative reference display
An inspiration board is a collection of images, quotes, clippings, and other visual materials arranged together to capture a mood, theme, or creative direction.
Designers, artists, and planners use them to gather ideas and maintain focus on a project's aesthetic vision: She pinned fabric swatches and magazine photos to her inspiration board.
Also called a mood board or vision board, though vision boards tend toward personal goals rather than creative projects.
