injection needle
Vaccine delivery tool
An injection needle is a hollow, pointed metal tube attached to a syringe, used to pierce skin and deliver medication or withdraw fluids from the body.
The term is somewhat redundant—needles used for injections are simply called needles in medical contexts: The nurse prepared the needle for the vaccine.
Injection needle appears in lay usage to distinguish from sewing or other needles.
