hypodermic syringe
Medical needle tool
A hypodermic syringe is a medical instrument used to inject fluids beneath the skin or into veins and muscles, or to withdraw blood and other fluids from the body.
It consists of a hollow needle attached to a tube with a plunger that creates suction or pressure.
The term hypodermic literally means "under the skin." In casual use, people often shorten this to just syringe or needle, though technically the needle is only one component.
