A pen needle is a small, disposable needle that attaches to an injection pen for delivering medication—most commonly insulin for diabetes management.

Pen needles come in various lengths and gauges, with shorter, thinner needles generally causing less discomfort: I need to pick up more pen needles at the pharmacy.

They're designed for single use and twist or click onto the pen device.
