hyperfocused

Locked in completely

Hyperfocused describes a state of intense, sustained concentration on a single task or subject, often to the exclusion of everything else.

The term appears frequently in discussions of ADHD, where hyperfocus can be both asset and liability—productive when directed well, problematic when someone can't disengage: I got hyperfocused on the project and forgot to eat.

Outside clinical contexts, it simply means extremely focused.
