hurry-up offense
No-huddle rushing strategy
A hurry-up offense is a football strategy where the offensive team rushes to the line and snaps the ball quickly, preventing the defense from substituting players or organizing.
Teams use it to conserve time late in games or to maintain tempo and keep defenses off-balance: They went to the hurry-up offense with two minutes left.
