A honeyhole is a secret spot known for its abundance—originally a fishing or hunting location where game is plentiful: I'm not telling anyone where my honeyhole is.
The term extends to any productive location kept private, from a favorite mushroom patch to an uncrowded surf break.
In the South, it can also mean a swimming hole.
