Homeopathic describes a system of alternative medicine based on the principle that "like cures like"—substances that cause symptoms in healthy people are diluted to treat similar symptoms in the sick.
The dilutions are often so extreme that no molecules of the original substance remain, which is why mainstream science regards homeopathy as pseudoscience.
