Prismatic metallic coating
Holofoil is a holographic foil material that produces rainbow-shifting, iridescent effects when light hits it.
The term appears most often in trading card collecting, where holofoil cards—featuring shimmering character art or borders—are typically rarer and more valuable than standard prints: I pulled a holofoil from the booster pack.
The material also appears on product packaging, security labels, and novelty items.
