hand turkeys
Finger-traced Thanksgiving art
A hand turkey is a child's drawing made by tracing around a spread hand and decorating the outline to resemble a turkey—the thumb becomes the head, the fingers become tail feathers.
The craft is a staple of American elementary school art projects around Thanksgiving: The refrigerator was covered with the kids' hand turkeys.
