hammer drill
Concrete-piercing power tool
A hammer drill is a power tool that combines rotary drilling with a rapid hammering action, allowing it to bore through concrete, masonry, and other hard materials that would defeat an ordinary drill.
The percussive motion pulverizes the material while the bit rotates, clearing debris from the hole.
You'll need a hammer drill for those anchor bolts—a regular drill won't cut it.
