guest lectures
Outside speaker sessions
Guest lectures are talks given by outside speakers invited to address a class or audience, typically at a university or professional setting.
The guest brings expertise or perspective the regular instructor lacks: Professor Chen invited a climate scientist for a guest lecture on carbon capture.
To guest lecture is to deliver such a talk.
