green men
Little extraterrestrial beings
Green men are figures in folklore or popular imagination—typically small humanoid creatures with green skin.
The term most often refers to extraterrestrial beings: little green men from Mars.
Someone dismissing unlikely explanations might say It wasn't little green men.
In British usage, a green man is also the illuminated pedestrian signal showing it's safe to cross.
