good fellas

Trustworthy underworld friends

Goodfellas, also spelled as two words, refers to members of organized crime—particularly the Italian-American Mafia.

The term carries a tone of insider camaraderie, suggesting loyalty and belonging within criminal networks.

It gained wide recognition from the 1990 Martin Scorsese film of the same name: He grew up wanting to be a goodfella.

Outside mob contexts, it can describe any tight-knit group of guys, sometimes with ironic undertones.
