go-slow

Deliberate productivity reduction

A go-slow is a form of workplace protest where employees perform their duties at a deliberately reduced pace, slowing production without technically striking: The union called a go-slow to pressure management.

Chiefly British; Americans more often say slowdown.

As an adjective, go-slow describes a cautious, unhurried approach: a go-slow strategy on reforms.
