giant puppet
Towering festival figure
A giant puppet is an oversized puppet, typically human-shaped and operated by one or more puppeteers from within or below.
Giant puppets appear in parades, street theater, and political protests, where their scale commands attention: The demonstrators carried giant puppets of world leaders.
They range from a few feet taller than human to building-sized spectacles requiring crews to operate.
