gaming community
Online player network
A gaming community is a group of people connected by shared interest in video games, whether organized around a specific game, genre, platform, or gaming culture generally.
These communities form on forums, Discord servers, streaming platforms, and at conventions.
The term can describe tight-knit groups with their own slang and in-jokes, or the broader population of gamers: The gaming community had mixed reactions to the announcement.
