multiplayer games
Shared interactive entertainment
Multiplayer games are video games designed for multiple players to participate simultaneously, either cooperatively or competitively.
Players may share a screen locally or connect online: We spent the whole night on multiplayer games.
The term distinguishes these from single-player experiences and encompasses everything from casual party games to massive online worlds with thousands of concurrent players.
