fuel valve
Tank's exit gate
A fuel valve is a device that controls the flow of fuel in an engine, furnace, or other combustion system.
Opening or closing the fuel valve regulates how much fuel reaches the combustion chamber.
In aircraft, the fuel valve allows pilots to select between tanks or shut off fuel entirely: He turned the fuel valve to the left tank.
