fruitlets
Tiny developing fruits
Fruitlets are small, immature fruits in the early stages of development after flowering.
Orchardists thin fruitlets to improve the size and quality of remaining fruit: We removed excess fruitlets from the apple trees in June.
The term also describes the individual segments of aggregate fruits like raspberries and blackberries, where each tiny bump is technically a separate fruitlet.
