frontalis
Raises your eyebrows
The frontalis is the muscle of the forehead that raises the eyebrows and wrinkles the brow.
It runs from the eyebrows upward across the forehead, connecting to the scalp.
When you look surprised or skeptical, the frontalis is doing the work.
The term appears mainly in anatomy and medical contexts: Botox injections target the frontalis to reduce forehead wrinkles.
