front up

Settle the bill

Front up means to appear or present oneself, especially when accountability or confrontation is involved.

In Australian and New Zealand English, it often implies showing up to face consequences or fulfill an obligation: He'll have to front up to the board and explain himself.

It can also mean to pay or provide money: We fronted up the cash for repairs.

To front up to something is to confront it directly rather than avoid it.
