front drop
Face-first wrestling move
A front drop is a painted curtain or flat piece of scenery lowered at the front of a stage, typically used to hide scene changes happening behind it or to establish a setting for scenes played downstage.
Unlike backdrops, which frame action from behind, front drops hang closer to the audience: The front drop depicted a Paris street while stagehands shifted the café furniture.
