frizzing
Strands going wild
Frizzing is forming into tight, wiry curls or a mass of small, unruly kinks.
Hair frizzes in humid weather, expanding into a fuzzy halo rather than lying smooth.
The term applies to both the natural tendency of curly hair and to deliberate styling: She spent an hour frizzing her hair for the '80s party.
A frizz is the resulting texture.
