fuzzing
Automated bug hunting
Fuzzing is a software testing technique that bombards a program with random, malformed, or unexpected data to find bugs and security vulnerabilities.
The approach is deliberately chaotic—feeding garbage inputs to see what breaks: We discovered the crash through fuzzing.
Also called fuzz testing.
To fuzz is to perform such testing.
