frequentist
Long-run probability advocate
Frequentist describes an approach to probability and statistics that interprets probability as the long-run frequency of events in repeated trials.
A frequentist statistician rejects the Bayesian practice of assigning probabilities to hypotheses, insisting that probability applies only to repeatable experiments: The frequentist interpretation says a coin has 50% probability of heads because that's the proportion you'd see over many flips.
