Unfiltered writing exercise
Freewrite is a writing exercise where you write continuously without stopping to edit, censor, or organize thoughts.
The goal is to bypass the inner critic and generate raw material: I freewrite for ten minutes every morning before starting real work.
As a verb, to freewrite is to engage in this practice.
The technique is common in creative writing classes and journaling.
