fratricides
Murders of brothers
Fratricides is the plural of fratricide—the killing of one's brother or sister, or the person who commits such an act.
The term extends to military situations where soldiers accidentally kill their own comrades: Three fratricides occurred during the operation.
Figuratively, it describes destructive conflict within a group: The party's internal fratricides cost them the election.
