forced exit
Pushed out unwillingly
A forced exit is a departure that isn't voluntary—being pushed out rather than choosing to leave.
In business, it typically describes when investors or board members compel a founder or executive to leave a company: The CEO's forced exit came after months of board pressure.
The term also applies to selling an investment under unfavorable conditions, or more literally, to emergency evacuations or expulsions from a place.
