finger-to-nose
Coordination check maneuver
Finger-to-nose describes a neurological test where a person touches their nose with their fingertip, usually with eyes closed and arm extended.
Doctors use it to assess coordination and detect cerebellar dysfunction: The officer administered a finger-to-nose test.
Impairment shows as tremor, overshooting, or missing the target entirely.
