fin whales
Second-largest cetaceans ever
Fin whales are the second-largest animals on Earth after blue whales, reaching up to 85 feet long.
These baleen whales are slender and fast, earning the nickname "greyhound of the sea." They inhabit all major oceans and are distinguished by asymmetrical coloring—the right lower jaw is white while the left is dark.
We spotted a fin whale surfacing off the coast.
