film clubs
Cinema appreciation groups
Film clubs are groups that meet regularly to watch and discuss movies, often focusing on particular genres, directors, or eras.
They function like book clubs but for cinema: The film club is screening French New Wave this month.
Some film clubs emphasize rare or classic films unavailable through mainstream channels.
