fight song
Rally music tradition
A fight song is a rousing anthem associated with a school, team, or organization, typically played at athletic events to energize crowds and celebrate victories.
Most American universities have official fight songs that fans sing during football and basketball games: The band struck up the fight song after every touchdown.
The term sometimes extends to any motivational anthem adopted by a group.
