alumni weekend
Former students return
Alumni weekend is a scheduled event, typically annual, when a college or university invites former students back to campus for reunions, activities, and socializing.
Schools often organize these around homecoming football games or class milestone reunions: My twentieth alumni weekend is coming up.
The event trades on nostalgia and institutional loyalty, often doubling as a fundraising opportunity.
