female author
She writes books
A female author is a woman who writes books or other literary works.
The phrase is sometimes criticized as redundant—author already applies to any gender—but it persists in contexts emphasizing women's contributions to literature or addressing historical exclusion: a panel on female authors in science fiction, the first female author to win the prize.
