faze
Knock off balance
To faze is to disturb or disconcert someone's composure: The criticism didn't faze her.
Nearly always appears in negative constructions—people are unfazed, nothing fazes them, they weren't fazed.
Often confused with phase, which means a stage or to introduce gradually.
