eyecups

Small washing vessels

Eyecups are small cups designed to fit over the eye, used to apply liquid medicine or wash to the eye.

The term also refers to the rubber rings on binoculars or microscopes that rest against the face to block stray light and position the eye at the correct distance from the lens: Fold down the eyecups if you wear glasses.
