executive council
Leadership decision group
An executive council is a governing body that advises or assists a chief executive in administration.
In some governments, it functions like a cabinet, comprising top officials who shape policy and oversee departments.
Organizations and corporations may also have executive councils—small groups empowered to make decisions on behalf of a larger body: The executive council approved the merger.
