exchange students
Visiting overseas learners
Exchange students are students who temporarily attend school in a foreign country, often while a student from that country attends theirs.
The arrangement immerses participants in another culture and educational system: We hosted an exchange student from Germany for a semester.
The term applies whether or not an actual swap occurs.
